Terms of Service
Last updated 26 May 2026 · By creating an account or using Helm you accept these terms.
1. What Helm is. Helm is a personal, non-commercial research tool that runs AI-driven paper (simulated) trades against real market data. It is provided for educational and experimental use only.
2. Not financial advice. Nothing in Helm is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and it is not a solicitation or recommendation to buy or sell any security. The operator is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or fiduciary. You are solely responsible for any decision you make and any trade you place anywhere.
3. AI output can be wrong. Trades, analysis, and chat are generated by automated AI models that are frequently inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on them. Market data may be delayed or wrong, and past simulated performance does not predict real results.
4. Your keys, accounts & costs. Any API keys or brokerage connections you add are used at your own risk and remain your responsibility. Running AI rounds and connecting third-party services (e.g. OpenRouter, Alpaca) can incur real costs and is governed by their terms — you must comply with them and with all applicable laws.
5. Real-money trading. If a future or self-hosted configuration is connected to a live brokerage, all resulting orders, losses, fees, and tax consequences are entirely yours. The operator does not execute trades for you and is not responsible for any financial loss.
6. No warranty. Helm is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. It may change, break, or be discontinued at any time, and data may be lost.
7. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including trading or financial losses, lost data, or lost profits — arising from your use of Helm. You agree to indemnify and hold the operator harmless from claims arising out of your use or your connected accounts.
8. Eligibility & changes. You must be legally able to enter this agreement in your jurisdiction. These terms may be updated; continued use means you accept the changes.
